The giddy debut album from Brooklyn band Fang Island is filled with bruising guitars, bratty vocals and lovely harmonies. The delightfully raucous single "Daisy" is a must-download — trash-pop in the best possible way.

If there was ever an excuse to get high, this is it.
because they didn't download the deluxe version with the yeasyaer remix of "absolute place?? just sayin/
Apparently the maxim they use to describe their sound, this seems like a pretty apt summation of their brash, enthusiastic pop-punk-metal. The first few listens fell completely flat for me and it was 'shelved' until one track came up on shuffle and it blew me away. A few repeat spins of the record and it proves itself to be a real mood elevator and full of earworm hooks. High five indeed.
...but Mull Historical Society wants their ball back. Seriously, have a listen. Coincidence or synchronicity but at a decade remove? Oh, and @natx, the wyld stallyns comment is genius. Made me download right there!!
beautifully disjointed , on the attack with inspired and aggressive guitar playing - really unqiue record - its collage-like and it all works.
Downloaded this after reading some reviews and listening to the previews... a very good, interesting, different kind of album. Low on vocals, high on shredding guitar, but not in an annoying 80's kind of way... a whole new spin on the concept. My only complaint is the tracks are so short... you just breeze through the album, hitting the end and wishing it had lasted a bit longer. Very worth the download.
its totally excellent. its exactly what wyld stallyns would have sounded like if they had been a real band.
I'm enjoying listening, but the tracks all sound too much alike.
Wankers.
ironic wankery is the new chillwave. take it away, blogs!
