Ken Camden, Lethargy & Repercussion
2010 | Label: kranky / Iris

Lethargy & Repercussion is the debut solo offering from Ken Camden, who is also one fourth of the Chicago post-rock band Implodes. Here, Camden eschews the full-band approach in favor of utilizing only single guitar tracks treated heavily with effects, with largely no overdubs. Despite this minimal process in creating the record, its swirling pieces sound densely layered and anything but thin. The influence of eastern modalities and sitar music is prominently featured on Lethargy & Repercussion, which suits his warm, hazy drones well. It's a mesmerizing collection of instrumental pieces that serves as a perfect soundtrack for zoning-out.

HARMONIA 2010

pandemic

Heavy SOLO Psych!!!! long drawn out jams that are pretty tripped out and fun at the same time. For fans of Harmonia, Faust, Can, Harvester, and everything else held holy in the kraut/psych/minimal musical genres.I AM A FAN!!!
