Music to touch your heart...
I have to admit that I don't like all Martha's music, but when I do find a track I like, I LOVE it. There's another album available on eMusic where a lone reviewer claims Martha's voice can move you to tears. I doubted this when I read it, but it's absolutely true. Download Who Turns, Seabird & My Chair from this album, Firefly from Bimbling, and Winter Flowers from Of Milkmaids & Architects - and listen carefully to each song. If you're not at least very moved, you probably have no soul. ;-) But seriously, the combination of thoughtful lyrics, emotive music, and Martha's beautiful voice is just spectacular: so much emotion conveyed in so few words. It's music you really feel. And beautiful finger-picking too - a talented lady indeed. I'm lucky enough to be seeing her play live at the Home Festival in Devon this month; I'm just hoping she plans to play all the above songs.
