As fits their name, Spectrals evoke a very specific Spector — the one who made all those girl-group songs resonate into the high heavens with his Wall of Sound. The M.O. is similar here: cram as many pretty sounds into a four-track keyhole as possible, and then watch the echoes swirl upward and multiply as they all bleed together. "7th Date" starts out with that immortal "Be My Baby" backbeat before dissolving into a dreamy haze of chimes and vocals, while "Don't Mind" is a glittering slow waltz. Nothing to see here: just the latest Slumberland indie-pop band to blow your socks off.
