Fun and Intelligent Album
Something is in the water north of the border as the Acorn is yet another band from Canada making some interesting music. Hard to say who they sound like--which is nice--but something like if Broken Social Scene and Radiohead. When the I kept hearing songs from this album on XM's The Verge and it does not disappoint. A nice mix of surging songs and softer moments. When the electric guitars arent dominating, some nice folk instruments can be heard.
