Christopher Willits is a San Francisco-based multimedia artist who paints blotted, freeform sound canvases with a mixture of analog sounds — guitars, the feedback hum they produce, old, grainy-sounding keyboards — and gentle snowstorms of digital noise. It's all very inviting and enveloping, enticing you with the surface sound and then peeling back layers upon layers with repeated listens. "Sun Body" is nearly four minutes of pleasantly whirring noises that carry the ghosts of full chords within them, fumes from music that has already evaporated.
