Ferraby Lionheart is an extravagantly awesome name, fit for either Arthurian legend or a Western. Turns out the real Ferraby is neither knight nor cowboy; he is more of a sensitive troubador, with a tremblingly pure and boyish tenor that floats over free and easy shimmer that falls between the barstools separating power-pop and alt-country. "Harry and Bess" is a wry, shuffling example of his style, half saloon and half British music hall, with a chorus straight out of the Hollies.
