June, Green Fields and Rain
2010 | Label: Rainbow Quartz / Redeye

The June wear their influences on their sleeve, and that's quite alright. The Italian trio channel psychedelic era Beatles on their second full-length, with opener "Feel the Sunshine" setting the album's tone. This is feel-good music through and through, with just enough Brit pop nuances to keep things interesting.

No "nuances" here

Raitt's review is a ridiculous understatement: "just enough Brit pop nuances to keep things interesting." Nuances? From the opening, June hits you over the head to remind everyone that the Beatles invented and owned Britpop.
