This is a really inspiring and complete recording of the string symphonies Mendelssohn wrote as a teenager. As a bonus, it includes the orchestrated version of No 8, truly a remarkable piece of music for someone that young.

Pricing is still a bargain

This CD (mp3) on Amazon is $9, while here it's $6 (12/2010) so I guess the previous reviewer is referring to a past pricing system. In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed this CD, making it worth more than $9.
