Resonates to the marrow
I had the honor of playing a few tunes with her at a gathering of friends a few years ago, and she blew the room away with her sheer presence. It's like she was around in the 60s with me and all my other musician friends. But there was something more, which I can't put my finger on, but she moved everybody in the room to tears of bittersweet joy-- the kind of joy has meaning because it is contracted against a long life of ups and downs. Few people can resonate with the depth of many decades of experience when they are only in their early twenties -- think Paul Simon writing The Dangling Conversation at such a young age. Long may she run!
