What's in a Name?
Nearly everything. And any band that can't find a name without resorting to expletives (Motherfucker? Really?! Oh my. How utterly rebellious!^_^) is certainly not letting their music do the talking and JOMF is no exception to this time honoured rule! Marginally creative, highly pretentious attempts at trying to be arty have failed somewhat miserably here as I am ho-hummed into near complete apathy. by the sheer tunelessness of these songs. A far better choice would be the Handsome Family, Animal Collective, ANYthing by Bon Iver. They'd have done better to be a bit more Jackie-O and a lot less Motherfucker (Ooh, there's that shocking word again!:-) Two stars for the cover though. It's the best thing about this band.
