In a contemporary world of electronica seemingly in thrall to the sleek, serrated-edged futurism of Flying Lotus, Bonobo is a welcome anachronism. The UK dance producer born Simon Green specializes in beats that are warm, mellow and swathed in vinyl-style crackles; his deft digitalia sounds sweetly, quaintly analog. The easiest shorthand would be to label his oeuvre as ambient downbeat, or even chillout, but this undersells the ferocious intelligence and meticulous attention to detail that… read more »

Seriously great to listen to while working, while relaxing... while just about doing anything. Added it to the soundtrack of my life. I have yet to grow tired of it in rotation. Definitely a good find, and a great add to the collection.... not just 1 song... the whole album!

Beautiful.

Sometimes an album greatly exceeds your wildest expectations. With tracks like "Cirrus, Jets, Towers, Emkay and Antenna" the "hype" can actually fall short of the end result. Gorgeous album.

Will definitely support this...

"Ten Tigers" and "Cirrus" are worth the price of admission.. I will definitely be playing several tracks from this album on my podcast - THE AFTERGLOW. Give it a listen>> http://waynebo.podbean.com

Just what I expected...

Waynebo

this album is exactly what I expected from Bonobo. I mean that in the most positive way. His unique flavor is all over each and every track, but it doesn't sound re-hashed. This is the natural progression of an artist that has found his niche and is comfortable and creative running in his own lane. Very good album!
