  • They Say...

This is the third volume of Joemy Wilson's hammer dulcimer tributes to the legendary blind Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan. Wilson, with her Carolan Consort of guitar, flutes, violin, and harp, lead us through a set of tunes that vary from poignant ballads to lively jigs. The album is rounded out by Welsh, English and Scottish folk tunes, with the overall feeling being one of the melancholy beauty that tends to characterize this traditional music. The striking cover shows her sitting in front of a 5,000-year-old dolmen in County Clare, Ireland.
