  • They Say...

This is the third release from the New Jersey quintet. The group produces a noisy pop mix that sounds sometimes like damaged Crosby, Stills & Nash ("Jet Row") to entirely cacophonous affairs like "Baby Loves Headrub." Such noisy guitar work promotes and justifies comparisons to Rollerskate Skinny, Polvo, and perhaps even Sonic Youth, but the salient point that these analogies overlook is the '60s folk-pop close harmony vocals that so often pierce the stormy fretwork.
