  • We Say...

Don't tell raucous Canadians You Say Party! We Say Die! that dance-punk is dead. Like Devo with added testosterone, their first album Hit the Floor was a spazzy, clappy, exclamation point-ed affair. On Remik's Cube, a slew of remixers try to somehow make YSP!WSD!'s tracks even more dancefloor-friendly. Mostly, they just add some textural components: synth swells, bass drum thumps and some stuttering vocal edits. Most effective is probably Montag's remix of "Opportunity," turning it into a buzzy, Postal Service-esque electro-pop gem.
