The third full-length from Ottawa's Spiny Anteaters further develops their unique sound, combining noisy pop structures, indie vocals and half-realized melodies into strange and foggy constructions that occasionally wind up sounding like pop music again. The album's frequent turns into abstraction tend to work with this formula, and the result is a fine piece of semi-experimental pop.
