  • They Say...

Another volume in the ever-growing Kidz Bop series, Kidz Bop Kids: Halloween actually serves more of a purpose than the regular pop- and rock-oriented Kidz Bop volumes, as singalong albums of Halloween pop songs for kids are in somewhat short supply. The album features an even mix of movie and TV show themes ("Ghostbusters," "Scooby Doo," "The Addams Family"), '50s and '60s novelty ("Monster Mash," "Witch Doctor," "Purple People Eater"), and paranoid pop ("Somebody's Watching Me," "Nightmare on My Street"). Although it still seems like enterprising parents could put together a collection of original songs that would be just as good, if not better, than Kidz Bop Kids: Halloween, the album does work very well as a fun, and not too scary soundtrack for a Halloween party or trick-or-treating.
