  • They Say...

Like Technolo-G and the three volumes of Computer Controlled before it, Act Like You Know is a mix album from Frankie Bones that consists entirely of his own production work. It's bound to please his fans -- the tracks are up to the producer's usual standard, and the combination of sequencing and mixing is strong enough to limit listener fatigue, even though it's all typically relentless energy-wise. The rougher, trackier moments ("I Can't Understand This," "Dance With Me," "The Express") tend to be the most exciting. Whether you're familiar with Bones or not, you're bound to get a good jolt in the hips.
