  • They Say...

This album opens invitingly with an ethereal duet of theremin and cello. F.M. Einheit (Einsterzende Neubaten) and his regular allies, keyboardist Ulrike Haage (Goto) and guiding spirit Andreas Ammer (text and production) employ the authoritative powers of the Teutonic tongue and militaristic tones to oppressive effect on this soundtrack to a "radio space opera" that takes the ancient navigator into space. Odysseus (Phil Minton) and Penelope (Jennifer Minetti) encounter not only Telemachus (guitarist Alex Hacke) and astronauts (Ammer), but Circe and a monster (both Meret Becker). A powerful work, Odysseus 7 is easily the most theatric if not logical and accessible work from these partners in art crime. The full text is included in the booklet.
