Sassy Big Apple beat.

  • We Say...

Tuff-dame pop-rock with Ramones crony Daniel Rey on board: The first two songs are about New York ("Every time I take a 747 people ask me about 9-11"); "Lust" has the sexiest guitars and most sapphic words; "L.A. Girl" is pedal-steeled early '80s new-waveabilly about a bikini-clad groupie who'll be "your broad if you're in Billboard"; The pub-country bounce of "I'll Be Gone" has the singer waiting at home in crotchless undies for her barfly significant other, spinning said partner's 45s while painting her toenails. Then, closing with "I Wanna Rock," Jana explains why she doesn't like reggae or gangsta rap.
