  • They Say...

An expanded full-length version of a well-received single ("Vienna Mixes" by Peter Kruder and Stereotyp), Confusion isn't just a remix album -- it's an impeccably paced journey through dark, dubby downtempo featuring some of the best Austrian/German producers in action. It kicks off in excellent style with a lush remix of "Mother Nature" by (relatively) fresh faces dZihan + Khamien, then ranges through Stereotyp's harder, more minimal reworking of "Question," and on with the Kruder remix before reaching a denouement with the dub deconstructivism of Pole's "Ten." Surely Fauna Flash couldn't have been happier with the results, though perhaps a little sheepish that this remix album far outreached the original LP, Fusion.
