Review

by Heather Phares, All Music Guide

A timeless love story set to music, 2002's 1999 album, Savitri, is named after an Indian princess from the 5th century B.C. She discovers that true love can conquer death; similarly, the album's songs reflect romance, redemption and purity with lush and gentle arrangements. Piano, strings, flute, wind chimes and keyboard washes give Savitri an appropriately timeless and emotional feel.
