  • They Say...

With a sense of satire and good pop influences in Dylan and the Beatles, this album is at times rough, but there are a couple of diamonds to look for. The opening "She Dates Creeps" is a quirky lyrical attack on bitter separations. A key asset within is how the lyrics mesh very well with the highbrow pop capabilities in basically each song. "Everybody," with its brief sitar chorus intro, gives a latter Beatles quality. There are a few clunkers though, particularly the lackadaisical performance on "Wish You Could See Yourself." The highlight is "Should Be So Easy," a mellow pop tune which showcases the potential within.
