They Say...
OK, these guys are from Australia, meaning that it would be hard not to compare these guys to Men at Work. Not that Frenzal Rhomb are this new wave pop band, nor do they have a sax player; it's just that they both have those funny, inescapable accents. So Frenzal Rhomb get some points for not selling out to an American audience by keeping their thick brogue tone of voice; extra credit is also due for their shameless love of beer -- although there's not one hint of Fosters to be found on here. But what these guys make up for in integrity and a good taste in beverages, they lack in catching a listeners attention. Sure, the first two songs are great in that catchy, playful pop-punk sort of way, but the rest of A Man's Not a Camel just fall under the trap of having all their tracks sounding like one big, long song. But to give credit where it's due, these guys at least seem like they'd be a blast to party with.
