  • They Say...

Amelia Cuni is one of the foremost dhrupad singers of the modern era. Her studies, scholarships, and awards are numerous and her performances are legendary. Danza d'Amore is a set of spiritual love songs. Cuni has a strong expressive voice with tremendous range. The supporting musicians -- primarily on acoustic and ethnic instruments -- play the support role expertly. They take center stage only on the disc's instrumental piece. This music has a special ambient flair, but the best experience comes with focused listening.
