Early-'90s jump blues, shouting R&B, and gospel-edged soul from Nappy Brown, who made his finest material in the '50s and '60s, but has done some exuberant material during the '80s and '90s. While his voice doesn't have the swagger or ferocity it did in its heyday, it's still impressive enough to give this the residue of authenticity.
