They Say...
Big Band Greatest Hits is an entertaining collection of swing classics, including Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing," Glenn Miller's "Chattanooga Choo Choo," Tommy Dorsey's "I'll Never Smile Again," Duke Ellington's "Take the 'A' Train," and Artie Shaw's "Stardust." While it is assembled too haphazardly to appeal to the jazz purists, it is an excellent sampler for casual fans of big band jazz.
