They Say...
Missing Pieces is the kind of release that only hardcore fans will be interested in, yet it arrived at an odd time. Upon its release in 1997, none of Autograph's pop-metal albums from the mid-'80s were in print, which meant that Missing Pieces, a collection of remastered demos, was the only thing available to satiate the need of deprived fans. While it's adequate for starved fans -- the demos are fairly tight and similar to the official versions -- Missing Pieces lacks the glossy punch of Autograph's studio albums, which will disappoint some casual listeners. However, dedicated fans will find this material interesting and nearly invaluable, instead of merely adequate.
