  • They Say...

The Bangs, featuring former members of Witchypoo and the Slatterlines, sound like a grown-up version of the Donnas, spitting their girl punk fury with deadly accuracy. While the Donnas sing about "hotboxin'" in the back of their parents' van, the Bangs are planning their "Sweet Revenge." The Donnas want boys, while the Bangs want respect from them. Not quite riot grrrl, not quite girl group, the Bangs are sure of one thing -- they're ready to rock. Each of the 11 tracks here is fun, straight-up rock & roll, from the menace of the title track, to the rollicking "Telephone Game."
