  • We Say...

“Raindrops” has everything you’ve come to crave in a Basement Jaxx tune: big, pillow-y synths, a shuffling, punchy beat and a Huge Hook. The guys don’t even bother dipping into their thick Rolodex of guest singers; the vocal on “Raindrops” is all Felix Button (half of Jaxx). Well, all Felix and some autotune. Before you cry foul, though, know that Button, for all his maximalist pop tendencies, doesn’t abuse the effect — it’s more tasteful Moroder than trashy T-Pain. A big, big summer tune.
