They Say...
More "sonic snapshots" from Nelson, this time alternating atmospheric instrumentals with sometimes smart, pithy songs -- including the goofy title cut, which Nelson sings so straight-facedly that it is unclear if Nelson gets his own joke here. Then again, Nelson is the one with the retro-'50s, Popular Mechanics, polished Americana futurist fixation on chromed bubble cars and Judy Jetson chic. Overall, the album is a fun, though lightweight, collection.
