  • They Say...

Black Cat Music is a young band filled with charisma and attitude, and with the release of Hands in the Estuary Torso in the Lake, their music comes to the forefront with intensity and gripping power. Their melodies are compelling and awe-inspiring, but what persuades the listener to hear this music the most is the group's flamboyance and their ability to take their instruments and bend the tunes to the extreme. Much of the record is filled with riveting instrumentalism, sharp riffs, and dynamic musical twists and turns. With a hurricane-like appeal, Black Cat Music expresses their lyrical and musical material with flair and radiance, performing in stirring fashion. A band leaning toward a cool personality of garage blues and punk rock, Black Cat Music successfully blends these styles to create a sound that's unique, a sound they can remarkably claim as their own. Dynamics, twisted chordal structures, and sweeping pauses provide many breathless surprises for the ears. This is a fine statement for a young, flashy rock & roll band who should see a bright future ahead of them. This Lookout Records CD release is garage band indie rock at its most passionate, its most magical.
