  • They Say...

Singer/songwriter Blake Morgan delivers an intimate and moody set of his original compositions on Silencer. Showcasing songs Morgan previously released as fleshed-out, electric rock arrangements on 1996's Sneakers, 1997's Anger's Candy and 2005's Burning Daylight, Silencer finds the multi-instrumentalist taking a stripped-down approach and performing solo on acoustic piano. These are darkly heartfelt, enigmatic and melodic songs that often bring to mind a mix of the yearning, expansive rock of the Smashing Pumpkins and the soulful AM pop of Todd Rundgren. Meditative and sanguine, these are afterglow torch songs for the alt rock set.
