  • They Say...

32 Original Historic Rockabilly Classics, Vol. 1 compiles rare rockabilly mastered from original vinyl singles, most of which was released on tiny independent labels. The sound quality is at times rough, but many of these recordings were made under primitive conditions and weren't "hi-fi" to begin with. Only the most studied rockabilly fans will recognize many of these artists beyond Glen Glenn, but rockabilly is one genre in which obscurity is prized. From Joyce Green's "Black Cadillac" to Bobby Crown's "One Way Ticket," there are a handful of real classics in the mix, making this a worthwhile addition to the collection of any rockabilly cultist.
