  • They Say...

As with the first volume, this LP has two complete radio broadcasts that catch the Benny Goodman Orchestra near the height of its fame in August 1937. The novelty numbers by unwanted guests and the dated verbal chatter are forgettable but fine quartet versions of "Stompin' at the Savoy" and "Vibraphone Blues" along with full-band romps on "Roll 'Em" and "House Hop" are memorable.
