  • We Say...

Come-down music perfect for 3am Friday or 9am Sunday, this Om Records compilation proves its possible to be soothed without the use of oatmeal-colored lite-rock. Blending gentle, steady beats with blinking LED-like electronics, the songs on A Decade of Future Music are upbeat without being aggressive, a welcome tonic to thudding club tracks. Chuck Love's "Soul Symphony" threads a laid-back vocal over wisps of synths and "Yeah Right" by Kaskade has the thump and slink of 90s-era Prince. Whether it's a lazy evening or an early morning, A Decade of Future Music is the perfect chillout soundtrack.
