They Say...
Clem Snide's organic alt-country twist gained extra praise in late 2001, when the band's song "Moment in the Sun" was cast as the theme to the NBC comedy Ed. To keep up with the buzz, Clem Snide issued the Moment in the Sun EP in early 2002. Aside from boosting the single release, this pretty little package includes four brand new tracks penned by frontman Eef Barzelay in the fall of 2001. The delicate darkness of "Your Favorite Music" showcases a hazy dreamscape of string arrangements and an emotional rawness courtesy of Barzelay. The lovelorn "Do You Love Me?" breathes acoustic beauty, whereas the aching "Now the Moment's Gone" twirls around light spiritual inquisitions. Barzelay is quite smart, and The Moment in the Sun EP defines an intellect similar to the likes of Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous. For fans of the band, the Moment in the Sun EP is worthy of attention.
“ The indie iTunes — Hardcore music fans are migrating to eMusic, the iTunes Music Store's cheaper, cooler cousin.”
