  • They Say...

A tip of the cap to the Cocoon family and Sven Väth. Somehow they've managed to invade the island of trance/progressive house-friendly Ibiza and turn it upside down with a slash of their minimal techno and electro-tinged house music selections. With the help of DJs with last names like Hawtin and Villalobos, Väth has crafted one of the island's biggest draws just by staying true to the music he adores. This edition of the Cocoon Compilation features exclusive tracks by some of the most well-known artists who have played at the club, as well as those artists whose other records have factored heavily in the club's summer soundtrack. Canadian Mathew Jonson undoubtedly steals the show with "Sub-Atomic," a rocking tune not quite on par with his "Decompression" or "Zombie Biker" hits of the past few years, but equally as infectious and funky. It's not as glitch-heavy as previous editions, but Cocoon Compilation F certainly is an accurate map in the evolution of the past several years.
