Early tracks from Eminem’s real-life 8 Mile crew.

  • We Say...

Anybody heard of this guy Eminem? That’s what most people were saying around the time this EP was making its rounds in the underground circuit. Slim Shady has, of course, since launched into the stratosphere (with D12 always right there on his coattails), and these early recordings were made before the Dr. Dre connect. The EP is hazy and gritty and shares some slight similarities with other groups of the time, like Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep and Artifacts. The three Eminem appearances alone make this a valuable find for any hip-hop fan. If you’ve ever watched 8 Mile and wondered what "313" might have really sounded like, this just might be the closest you’ll ever get.
