  • They Say...

Psychobilly Sampler, Vol. 2 may be too much of a good thing. While the energy of these bands can't be denied, the fact remains that the rockabilly/horror theme seeping through these cuts starts to sound generic. Among the 25 tracks are the Coffin Nails' "Out of This World," the Psycho Bunnies' "61 Chevy," Stompin' Mad Bats' "Angry Noises," Demented Are Go's "House of Blood," and Cowpuncher's "T.V. Stars." One undeniable aspect of the psychobilly movement: the bands have great names. Suffice it to say, the cool monikers sometimes overshadow the music.
