  • We Say...

Light and effervescent, it's hard to imagine that the men making the music in Fauxliage were once core members of Front Line Assembly. But that's exactly who Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber were, appearing on compilations like This Is Industrial and figuring out how best to combine metal with electronic music. Times have changed — and the duo has mellowed considerably. They now offer tasteful electronic pop tracks for Sixpence None the Richer's former lead singer Leigh Nash, continuing the work that they started in the late '90s as Delerium. Here they don't get quite as dreamy as the atmospheric ambience of that band, but instead work with buoyant pop songs that seem geared for the adult contemporary charts. Nash embraces it, though, and makes it her own. On "Rafe," you can hear how joyous she can be: "There is love all around."
