Other than Bob Saget (and possibly Sarah Silverman), nobody came off better than Gilbert Gottfried in Penn Jillette's documentary The Aristocrats. Gottfried released this album not long after the film, and while some fans carped that Dirty Jokes consisted primarily of old material, so many of Gottfried's riffs and asides are contemporary and fresh — especially when he channels Jerry Seinfeld and Alan King. Loud and shrill, Gottfried's voice is a perpetual yammering that seems to delight in its own sound. "I sound like an 80-year-old Jewish woman!" Gottfried exclaims. His version of "The Aristocrats" weighs in at over 10 minutes here and features incest, bestiality, unique concoctions of bodily fluids, auto-erotic asphyxiation and the eye socket as erogenous zone. After a while, you lose track of the content and all that's important is Gottfried's distinctive cadence. At one point he interjects, "This sounds like one of the prayers you say on the Jewish holidays."
