  • They Say...

While typed in some quarters as strictly a dancehall artist, Half Pint is actually an above-average vocalist who's made several commendable message and protest tunes alongside the lighter uptempo material. This disc includes the solid "Cost Of Living" to open the session, before moving into a predominantly romantic vein. "She's Mine," "Desperate Lover" and "Night Life Lady" are the top tracks from that perspective, although he takes one trip through harder territory with the final selection, "I Don't Like It." It's more vocally attractive and less produced and predictable than some later Half Pint albums.
