Ah, riches! My Scrapbook of Fatal Accidents is a treasure trove for Jawbox fans, tying up just about every loose end in their complex discography. Most notable is an intense, kick-in-the-gut Peel session recorded three months after the release of For Your Own Special Sweetheart. The collection also includes several compilation tracks, split single sides, a couple of fine outtakes, four tracks from their performance at Washington D.C.'s HFStival in 1996, and their impressive clutch of covers that appeared on a number of tribute albums (many of which went out of print shortly after release). The covers are always top-notch, ranging from the Buzzcocks ("Airwaves Dream") to Cole Porter (&"I've Got You Under My Skin") to a warped take on the Cure's "Meathook." This is a complete package that was put together in thanks to Jawbox fans for years of support. It comes with a booklet of photos spanning their career and another listing their extremely impressive touring history. The collector couldn't ask for more, and the merely curious will be intrigued enough to check out the other releases.
