  • They Say...

Texas Fiddle Collection was recorded in the mid-'70s and features former Texas Playboys fiddler extraordinaire Johnny Gimble. These 28 tunes are timeless in both style and execution, especially with a band consisting of the finest caliber western swing musicians including former Texas Playboys guitarist Eldon Shamblin and, from the Texas Wanderers, Cliff Bruner on electric fiddle! Among the highlights include "Sallie Gooden," "Goodnight Waltz," "Redwing," "Lime Rock," "Draggin' the Bow," "Beaumont Rag," "Fat Boy Rag," and "Dreamy Eyes Waltz." One thing to keep in mind regarding this collection is some of these tunes are not full performances; a few clock in under two minutes.
