A continuous, 71-minute track of psycho-acoustically engineered electronic drones and vocals, Ultimate Om does indeed provide a serene, intensely relaxing backdrop for meditation, relaxation, sleep, and chanting, as well as restful but unobtrusive background music. The album's liner notes feature suggestions for using Ultimate Om in different situations, some history on Om and mantras in general, and some information on how the album was created and on psycho-acoustics and harmonics. Though its simplicity might seem monotonous, it's also what makes Ultimate Om so completely soothing.
