  • They Say...

This is the first of five ten-track budget compilations culled from The Judy Garland Show TV series of 1963-64. The selection ranges from songs Garland sang in her MGM films ("Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart," "After You've Gone") and in her concerts ("Palace Medley: Shine On Harvest Moon/Some Of These Days/My Man/I Don't Care") to newer material ("Moon River," "Hey Look Me Over"). Garland is in good voice and performs enthusiastically before Mort Lindsay's orchestra playing arrangements written by Mel Tormé.-William Ruhlmann Note: We have a listing under Judy Garland for Over The Rainbow [Pro Arte] for which Delta (actually LaserLight) 481 is listed as a 1995 reissue. I am certain this is a mistake. The LaserLight/Delta album reviewed below is an entirely different release that should have its own listing.
