  • They Say...

This four-song EP was released prior to Koufax's debut record, It Had to Do With Love. The disc starts out with the tight "A Soundwave Sound." The song is held together by the band's characteristic synthesizer-heavy sound, but the song is augmented with some emo-ish guitar octave work. The driving "Living Alone" is a quality pop/emo/synth pop number with Robert Suchan's melody blending nicely with the song. The Joe Jackson-esque "Going to Happen" and the somber "So Long to You and I" are both featured on their full-length album. Overall, this EP is a good estimation of Koufax's sound, even if it is a bit guitar-heavy compared to their debut album.
