Outtakes, rarities and live cuts that are sure to singe the hair in your ears.

  • We Say...

The Prince of the Power Chord has been well represented on other labels’ compilations, but no imprint has delved as deeply into the Link Wray catalog as Norton. The four-volume Missing Links series delivers a treasure trove of outtakes, rarities and live cuts that’s sure to singe the hair in your ears, but Vol. 3 gets the nod for the ominous “Genocide” and the two insane garage/R&B cuts by Bunker Hill — “The Girl Can’t Dance” and “Red Riding Hood and the Wolf” — recorded with backing by Link and the Wraymen. Ol’ Link sure does a purty instro version of the Beatles’ “And I Love Her” too!
