Though Lonnie Brooks appears to be running out of gas on Satisfaction Guaranteed, he’d probably be okay if he only had more viable material. He’s still holding his own as a writer on “Family Curse,” but the only other memorable song here is Denise Lasalle’s philosophically tongue-in-cheek “It’s Lying Time Again.” Lonnie turns guitar and/or vocal duties over to his son Ronnie Baker Brooks on a couple tracks, but the kid’s not yet ready.
